About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and resilient SEN Teacher to join a Primary Alternative Provision in the Ipswich area, supporting pupils who require a bespoke and nurturing approach to learning.
This role is ideal for a teacher who is committed to making a genuine difference to the lives of children with complex needs, including SEMH, ASD, ADHD and associated learning difficulties.
Key Responsibilities
· Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs
· Create a safe, structured and supportive learning environment
· Develop and implement EHCP-informed teaching strategies
· Support pupils academic progress, emotional regulation and social development
· Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, families and external agencies
· Maintain high expectations around behaviour, relationships and outcomes
You Will:
· Hold QTS/QTLS (or equivalent UK recognised teaching qualification)
· Have experience working with SEND and/or challenging behaviour (school, AP or SEN setting)
· Demonstrate empathy, patience and excellent behaviour management skills
· Be adaptable, reflective and committed to inclusive education
· Be confident in using a trauma-informed and child-centred approach
