SEN Teaching Assistant - Doncaster

Are you an experienced and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a long-term role within Doncaster primary schools?

Academics are recruiting skilled SEN TAs for ongoing and long-term placements, with several schools offering temp-to-perm opportunities for the right candidate.

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
 Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire
 Contract: Full-time, long-term with potential for permanent roles
 Pay: £88.94 - £100 per day (paid via PAYE)
 Start Date: ASAP or January

About the Role

We are filling several long-term SEN Teaching Assistant support roles across Doncaster, including:
 * 1:1 SEN support 
 * SEN hub support (specialist provision)
 * Behaviour, SEMH and ASD support roles
 * General classroom support with additional needs

Many schools are looking for confident and caring TAs who can support children with autism, communication needs, sensory regulation, learning delays, or emotional needs.

Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small-group SEN Teaching Assistant support
 * Follow EHCP and behaviour/support plans
 * Assist with emotional regulation and positive behaviour
 * Adapt activities to meet pupils' needs
 * Work closely with teachers and SENCOs
 * Create a calm, inclusive and supportive learning environment 

Candidate Requirements

✔ Experience working with SEN pupils (essential)
 ✔ Ability to support a range of additional needs
 ✔ Strong communication, patience and resilience
 ✔ Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
