SEN Teaching Assistant - Specialist Provisions

Chorley, Lancashire
£110-£115 per day (6.5-hour days)
Full-Time | Term Time Only
Monday-Friday | 8:30am-3:30pm

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work within specialist provisions in and around the Chorley area.

This is a full-time, term-time only role, supporting students with a range of additional needs including SEND and SEMH. You will play a key role in helping pupils access education, develop confidence, and thrive in a structured environment.

Role Responsibilities

Supporting students on a 1:1 and small group basis
Assisting the teacher with tailored and differentiated learning activities
Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
Helping create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment

Requirements

Experience working with children, or within a care/support/health setting
Alternatively, personal experience supporting individuals with additional needs
Minimum 24 months employment references with no large unexplained gaps
Willing to pay for and apply for an Enhanced Child DBS and register it on the Update Service

* You must be willing to attend a registration interview All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay.

This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
