Job Description

Are you a learning support assistant with experience of looking after children with Autism? If you are an SEND specialist, or have strengths being a learning support assistant for children with Autism, this is the role for you!

A Halifax Primary school is looking for a learning support assistant to work 1:1 with a girl in Year 4 with additional needs and working on the Year 2 curriculum.

Day to day for this learning support assistant role:

Supporting child with his personalised learning
Ability to soothe and calm 
Caring, nurturing nature 
Looking out for cues that he needs a movement or toilet breakAs a learning support assistant you will show strong pastoral and emotional support for your pupil, as well as being vigilant to their cues and needs which will mean able to think on the spot and being flexible with her timetable. The pupil will require some personal care and emotional support.
