This is an excellent opportunity for experienced support staff, as well as candidates looking to develop careers in SEN Education, Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Speech & Language Therapy, Social Work, or related fields.
The Role - SEN Teaching Assistant
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a diverse range of additional needs, potentially including Autism, ADHD, MLD, SLD, speech and communication difficulties, and SEMH needs.
You will work closely with teachers and specialist professionals, using pupils' EHCPs to identify barriers to learning and implement appropriate strategies. Alongside academic support, you will help pupils develop communication, confidence, emotional regulation, social skills, and greater independence.
Building strong and trusting relationships will be central to your role. You will provide consistency, encouragement, and reassurance while helping pupils become increasingly confident and independent within their education.
