Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality, tailored lessons in English and Maths (based on the child's level and needs).
Use a variety of teaching strategies to support the child's learning, ensuring sessions are engaging and appropriate for their emotional and academic needs.
Develop and implement personalised learning plans that support the child's progress.
Provide regular feedback to the child's parents/carers regarding progress and areas for development.
Build a trusting, positive relationship with the child, fostering a safe and supportive learning environment.
Requirements:
Experience working with children with SEMH needs and/or Special Educational Needs.
A passion for supporting children to reach their full potential.
Strong subject knowledge in English and Maths (GCSE level or higher).
Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to the child's individual needs.
Excellent communication skills, both with the child and parents/carers.
DBS checked (or willing to obtain one).
Desirable:
Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) or relevant tutoring experience.
Familiarity with SEN teaching strategies or qualifications in SEN (e.g., SENCo, Autism Awareness, etc.).
