Job Description

The Opportunity 

We’re partnering with a well-established and highly regarded property and construction consultancy to recruit a Senior Building Surveyor for their Exeter office.
 This is a secure, long-term opportunity within a business that has a strong and consistent pipeline of work across the South West. The role offers an excellent mix of professional services and project delivery, giving you variety, autonomy, and the chance to see the tangible impact of your work.

The Role 

As a Senior Building Surveyor, you’ll deliver a wide range of surveying and project management services across a diverse and engaging portfolio. Projects span sectors including education, commercial, retail, and care, offering both scale and variety.

 Key responsibilities include:
  
Delivering a full range of professional building surveying services 
Managing refurbishment and improvement projects from concept through to completion 
Acting as lead consultant and primary client contact 
Preparing specifications, reports, and technical documentation 
Undertaking contract administration and project management duties 
Collaborating with internal teams and external consultants 
Ensuring projects are delivered safely, compliantly, and to a high standard  This role offers full project lifecycle involvement, giving you the opportunity to take real ownership and pride in your work.
 
The Ideal Candidate 

We’re looking for a confident and experienced Chartered Building Surveyor who can bring:
  
MRICS status (essential) 
Proven experience delivering both professional services and project management 
Strong technical expertise in refurbishment and asset improvement works 
Proficiency in CAD software 
Revit experience (desirable but not essential) 
Excellent communication skills and confidence in client-facing situations
