A leading engineering business in the region is looking for a Senior Control Software Engineer to join their Powertrain team. You’ll work across EV, HV battery and ICE projects, delivering model-based control software from concept through to validation.
The Role
Develop control algorithms for battery, EV and ICE powertrain systems.
Full V-cycle software development using MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow.
Requirements capture, system modelling and control strategy design.
Simulation and validation (MIL / SIL / HIL / vehicle testing).
Support software releases for prototype and pre-production phases.
Work with cross-functional teams to deliver hardware and software on time.
Contribute to FMEA, issue resolution and continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience
Degree in Engineering, Software or relevant discipline.
5+ years in model-based controls engineering (automotive/motorsport ideal).
Strong Simulink/Stateflow expertise.
Understanding of HV battery systems, EV powertrain and ICE technology.
Experience with calibration tools and version control (Git/SVN).
Familiar with MISRA, ASPICE, ISO26262.
