Job Description

The OpportunityHays is recruiting for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join a major construction project in the North East. This role offers the chance to take ownership of electrical delivery on a significant extension to an existing facility, currently progressing through pre-construction and design stages.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the electrical engineering package through delivery, ensuring compliance with design and construction standards
Oversee and mentor an M&E Engineer working directly underneath you
Collaborate with design teams, contractors, and stakeholders to drive project success
Manage technical queries, resolve issues, and ensure a smooth transition from pre-construction into build phase.
Provide leadership during construction, with a focus on safety, quality, and timely delivery
About You

Proven experience as a Senior Electrical Engineer within large-scale construction projects
Strong knowledge of electrical systems in complex facilities
Ability to manage and guide junior engineers effectively
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Track record of delivering projects from design through to completion
