Responsibilities and duties of the Senior Electrical Engineer role
Within the role you will:
Lead and manage the electrical design process, from feasibility through to detailed design and delivery
Act as a key client interface, attending and leading meetings while representing the business professionally
Develop design briefs, project criteria, and costed engineering solutions aligned with client requirements
Oversee project delivery, including coordination with multidisciplinary teams and monitoring quality of design and installation
Support and mentor junior engineers while contributing to team development and technical excellence
Manage project budgets, tender processes, and commercial aspects including proposals and cost control
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
Strong experience in electrical design within the Building Services sector
Proven ability to manage projects and lead design processes
Knowledge of current British Standards and industry regulations
Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications
Ability to produce and review technical calculations, drawings, and specifications
Strong understanding of multidisciplinary coordination within construction projects
Personal skills
