Job Description

Senior Engineer – Highways Scheme (Stratford-upon-Avon)

  * Location: Stratford-upon-Avon

  * Duration: 12 months

  * Start: ASAP

  * Rate: £400 – £450 per day (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  * Oversee day-to-day site operations on a major highways scheme

  * Manage subcontractors and ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget

  * Ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and health & safety standards

  * Coordinate with site teams, planners, and project managers

  * Maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation

  * Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and risk assessments

Requirements:

  * Proven experience as a Senior Engineer on highways or infrastructure projects

  * Strong setting out and technical knowledge

  * Experience managing site teams and subcontractors

  * CSCS card (essential)

  * SMSTS or SSSTS (preferred)

  * Full UK driving licence
