Job Description

Are you an experienced Senior Site Engineer with a strong background in groundworks and reinforced concrete (RC) frames? Keyman Personnel is currently working with a leading groundworks and RC frame contractor who is looking for a skilled and reliable Senior Site Engineer to join a high-profile project.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to take a senior role on site, working alongside an established project team and playing a key part in the successful delivery of major construction works.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Site Engineer, you will be responsible for the accurate setting out, surveying and engineering of groundworks and RC frame packages. You will work closely with the Project Manager, Site Manager and wider engineering team to ensure works are delivered safely, accurately, efficiently and in accordance with the design.

Key Responsibilities

  * Lead and undertake setting out, levelling and surveying for groundworks and RC frame packages.

  * Interpret and work from construction drawings, specifications and technical information.

  * Ensure all works are set out accurately and in accordance with design requirements and project tolerances.

  * Monitor and check ongoing works to ensure they meet the required quality and engineering standards.

  * Produce and maintain accurate site records, including as-built information, survey data and quality documentation.

  * Liaise closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, subcontractors and the wider site team.

  * Assist with resolving technical issues and provide engineering solutions where required.

  * Carry out regular checks and quality inspections throughout the works.

  * Ensure all engineering activities comply with relevant health and safety requirements.

  * Mentor and support junior engineers and contribute to maintaining high engineering standards across the project.

Requirements

  * Proven experience as a Senior Site Engineer within the groundworks and/or RC frame sectors.

  * Strong experience in setting out major groundworks and reinforced concrete structures.

  * Confident using Total Stations, GPS and other surveying equipment.

  * Strong ability to read and interpret construction and engineering drawings.

  * Relevant Civil Engineering qualification or equivalent industry experience.

  * Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.

  * Strong understanding of construction tolerances, surveying and engineering best practice.

  * Ability to work independently while effectively coordinating with the wider project team.

  * Previous experience in a senior engineering position is highly desirable.
