Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Estate Surveyor to join our Valuation and Strategic Assets (VASA) team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping a diverse and high-value property portfolio — ensuring assets deliver maximum financial, social, and environmental value for the community.

As a Senior Estate Surveyor, you will provide strategic property advice across a range of assets, focusing on estate management, landlord and tenant matters, leasing, and licensing. You will work collaboratively across departments, treating all assets as a corporate resource that supports wider ambitions for inclusive growth and sustainability.

Key responsibilities.

  * Deliver high-quality professional property and estates management advice on complex cases.

  * Manage commercial lease events including rent reviews, renewals, and terminations.

  * Ensure assets are compliant, safe, and well-maintained while enforcing tenant obligations.

  * Lead and manage up to 5 staff and external consultants (via multiple contractor frameworks).

  * Support delivery of the organisation’s Strategic Asset Management Framework (SAMF).

  * Identify and deliver opportunities for asset disposals, acquisitions, and revenue generation.

  * Contribute to major regeneration and development projects, including joint ventures and CPO work.

  * Collaborate across departments to identify and implement carbon reduction initiatives.

  * Oversee data accuracy and performance reporting for the corporate property database

  * Champion innovation, continuous improvement, and a customer-centric service culture.
