About the Role:
In this pivotal role, you will help shape the narrative of a vibrant university as part of a dynamic new leadership team. Collaborating with the Digital Content and Communications Team, you'll craft compelling stories that engage both the media and the wider public.

Key Responsibilities:

Press Releases: Create engaging press releases that spotlight groundbreaking research and impactful stories.
Media Relations: Manage media inquiries, facilitate interviews, and provide guidance to interviewees.
Networking: Develop and maintain a diverse range of media contacts to enhance our outreach.
Digital Engagement: Work with colleagues to produce captivating digital content, including social media posts, videos, and podcasts.
Monitoring & Reporting: Compile weekly news round-ups for senior management using a media monitoring service.
Campaigns: Assist in developing content for key campaigns, including student recruitment and graduation events.
Event Support: Play a crucial role in high-profile events, ensuring media engagement and visibility. 

Ideal Candidate:
We're looking for someone who possesses:

Significant experience in PR, communications, or journalism.
The skill to craft engaging narratives for various audiences and platforms.
A proactive, enthusiastic demeanour coupled with excellent interpersonal skills.
