Senior Geotechnical Engineer - Edinburgh

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established, privately owned multidisciplinary engineering consultancy for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join its team in Edinburgh.

With a strong UK presence and expertise spanning civil, structural, geotechnical, environmental, transportation and water engineering, the company delivers innovative, sustainable and cost-effective solutions across a diverse project portfolio. The Role

As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you'll work across both ground investigation and design, including planning and managing investigations, interpreting geotechnical data, developing ground models and producing technical reports. You'll also undertake geotechnical analysis and design covering foundations, earthworks, retaining structures, settlement and slope stability, while supporting junior staff and contributing to project delivery.

Requirements

The Senior Geotechnical Engineer will ideally have:

A degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology

Strong UK consultancy experience across investigation and design

Chartered or working towards chartership

Experience with relevant geotechnical modelling software

Excellent communication and project management skills

A full clean driving licence

Full right to work in the UK

Be living in or within commuting distance of Edinburgh
