A well-established multidisciplinary construction consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with healthcare experience, or a genuine interest in developing within the healthcare sector, to join their expanding project management team. The successful Senior Project Manager will work across a diverse portfolio of projects, with healthcare forming an important part of the workload alongside opportunities to gain experience across several other property and construction sectors.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Project Manager who enjoys variety and wants to develop a broad project portfolio. The Senior Project Manager will work closely with clients, consultants and contractors throughout the full project lifecycle, taking responsibility for delivery while receiving exposure to complex and technically interesting schemes. The role would suit a commercially aware Senior Project Manager looking for long-term progression within an established consultancy.
You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.
The Senior Project Manager's role
The Senior Project Manager will take responsibility for projects from feasibility and early design through procurement, construction and handover.
Working across healthcare and a number of other sectors, the Senior Project Manager will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage programmes, monitor project risks, oversee procurement and provide clear reporting to clients.
The Senior Project Manager will chair project meetings, manage stakeholder expectations and ensure schemes are delivered against agreed programme, quality and commercial objectives. Healthcare projects may include complex environments where stakeholder management, phasing and maintaining operational requirements are particularly important.
The Senior Project Manager
The successful Senior Project Manager will ideally have:
Strong Project Management experience within a UK construction consultancy
Previous healthcare project experience or a clear interest in developing within the healthcare sector
Experience delivering projects across multiple sectors would be advantageous
A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying or another relevant construction discipline
MRICS, MAPM or MCIOB qualification, or progress towards a relevant professional qualification
Experience working across multiple RIBA stages
Good knowledge of procurement routes and construction contracts
Strong client-facing, communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams
