Senior Pump Engineer / Pump Specialist

Location: Northwest
Salary: £38,000 – £42,000+ Basic | OTE £50,000+

The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Pump Engineer / Pump Specialist to join a growing engineering team.

This role is ideal for an engineer with strong pump diagnostics and repair experience who enjoys solving complex technical issues and supporting other engineers on challenging jobs.

You will be responsible for complex pump faults, system upgrades and commercial pump systems, while also acting as a technical lead within the engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

Pump Systems (Primary Focus)

Installation, servicing and repair of:

  * Sewage pumping stations

  * Basement pump systems

  * Surface and foul water pump systems

Additional responsibilities:

  * Advanced pump fault finding

  * Diagnostics on control panels, alarms and float systems

  * Emergency pump call-outs

  * Advising customers on system upgrades and compliance

Technical Leadership

  * Acting as the go-to engineer for complex pump faults

  * Mentoring junior engineers

  * Supporting larger commercial installations

  * Maintaining high engineering standards

Drainage Support

  * Drain investigations linked to pump failures

  * Jetting and clearance where required

  * CCTV survey support

Experience Required

  * Strong pump engineering experience

  * Experience with sewage and drainage pump systems

  * Advanced fault-finding ability

  * Experience with control panels and pump diagnostics

  * Full UK driving licence

Desirable

  * Experience with Grundfos, Wilo or Lowara pumps

  * Confined space certification

  * CCTV survey experience

  * Electrical or mechanical qualifications

Must hold a valid UK driving licence and be eligible to work in the UK.

Role is subject to DBS, DVLA and credit check due to the nature of the work. (no more than six points on licence for minor offences)
