Senior Quantity Surveyor –  Building Projects up to £4m  
 📍 Hertfordshire

Up to £80,000
Start: April 2026
Permanent 
 A principal contractor with sustained year on year profits are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. 
 
This opportunity will suit a commercially astute QS who enjoys working for stable small to medium principal contractors and delivering projects across all building sectors.
 
The Role:

Managing the commercial aspects of building projects within commercial, education, residential, retail and leisure up to £4m
Cost planning, estimating, and tender analysis
Working closely alongside the Commercial Manager and Director on budgets and forecasts
Managing subcontract procurement and contract administration (JCT / NEC)
Monitoring risks, opportunities, and overall project financial performance
Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders
Supporting and mentoring junior members of the commercial team

Proven experience working for a principal contractor.
Stable employment history
Experience managing projects commercially from start to finish.
