As our new Senior SHEQ Manager, you will lead our team with a passion for continuous improvement, shaping and leading best practice in the transformation of health and safety, environmental, quality, regulatory and legislative policies. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our brand-new state of the art automated manufacturing facility.
As an industrial business in the UK that adopts the internationally recognised EN14001 standard, we have been at the forefront of the move toward increased awareness of environmental sustainability within our sector. As part of this, you will take the lead on a variety of exciting projects.
Please note, this position will require full time presence across our Burntwood and Shenstone sites, all candidates should be within commutable distance of both locations.
You will:
* Define, shape, and implement our SHEQ strategy and vision
* Advise and guide the Board on all aspects of safety and environment legislation
* Develop/Expand your knowledge of regulations, becoming a subject matter expert
* Be a role model for SHEQ best practice
* Motivate, lead, and inspire a team of subject matter experts
* Coach, guide and develop your team through SMART objectives and PDPs
* Implement new processes and drive change to improve efficiency
* Work cross functionally with colleagues to achieve business objectives
What you will bring:
* An inspirational and motivational leadership style
* A passion for health and safety, environmental and quality
* An autonomous, agile work ethic
* Strong communication and influencing skills
* Degree level qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline (science, health and safety, environmental)
* NEBOSH Certificate (Diploma an advantage)
* Professional competence ideally backed up with relevant qualifications/memberships e.g. DGSA, FPA Fire Safety Management, ISEP, IQA Membership, IRCA Lead Auditor
