About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven
Senior Technical Services Manager
to lead the delivery of Hard FM services across a multi-site portfolio.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring safe, compliant and high-quality technical service delivery, while driving continuous improvement and developing a high-performing team.
You will also provide specialist technical consultancy support to London and other UK sites and, where required, support the wider business.
Your main responsibilities will include
Leadership & Client Relationship Management
Lead, manage, mentor and develop the Technical Team to drive performance and deliver excellent customer service.
Manage client escalations, build strong stakeholder relationships and coordinate effectively with technical teams, vendors and contractors.
Continuously improve customer satisfaction across the portfolio.
Service Delivery & Performance
Ensure Technical Services are delivered to the highest standards across all areas of the business.
Ensure all SLAs are consistently met or exceeded.
Manage the delivery of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive works, ensuring completion on time and within budget.
Implement and manage system and process improvements to enhance service delivery.
Lead innovation and cost-saving initiatives.
Financial & Commercial Management
Conduct regular costing reviews to ensure services are accurately priced and P&L targets are achieved.
Support the costing and mobilisation of new Hard Services opportunities.
Work closely with Account Support and Finance teams to control and improve financial performance.
Manage variation orders and contract change requests relating to scope changes and additional works.
Compliance, Risk & Safety
Ensure full statutory compliance across all areas of responsibility.
Maintain Health & Safety compliance across all technical services.
Manage Permit to Work systems, Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
Oversee subcontractor performance and compliance.
Maintain and manage the Risk Register to reduce operational risk.
What we’re looking for
Experience & Qualifications
Minimum
7+ years’ experience
in a Facilities Management Hard Services environment
Experience working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Relevant technical or professional engineering qualification
NEBOSH qualification
(or equivalent)
Strong IT skills including
MS Office, Outlook and CAFM systems (Maximo preferred)
Skills & Competencies
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Strong technical knowledge of engineering systems, equipment and Hard Services delivery
Self-starter with proven leadership experience in Hard Services
Commercial awareness and financial understanding
Willingness to travel as required by the role
