Job Description

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable franchise-approved commercial vehicle dealer group with multiple sites nationwide, for the position of Vehicle Service Advisor at their Oxford dealership. Enhanced maternity/paternity payDuties of the Service Advisor:

Engage with customers to ensure high levels of satisfaction and excellent customer service
Manage the booking in and scheduling of vehicle servicing appointments in line with workshop capacity
Keep customers informed of vehicle progress proactively and accurately
Identify customer needs, produce comprehensive quotations, estimates, and invoice documentation
Explain work carried out to customers clearly, highlighting additional service opportunities where appropriate
Produce warranty job cards following manufacturer policies and procedures
Record all work requirements accurately, categorising retail, warranty, internal, and non-chargeable repairs
Liaise with the Parts Department to ensure the availability of required parts
Assist in assessing vehicle issues and providing solutions that meet customer expectationsRequirements of the Service Advisor:

Proven experience as a Vehicle Service Advisor or similar role within the automotive industry
Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally
Organisational skills with proficiency in IT; experience with Kerridge/Keyloop is desirable
Full, clean UK driving licence with minimal points
Ability to work in a team environment, prioritise tasks, and handle administrative duties accurately
