Field Service Engineer
About the Role
We are recruiting for a Field Service Engineer on behalf of an established UK engineering business specialising in security entrance and access control solutions.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer who enjoys fault finding, customer interaction and working independently in a field-based environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a range of electro-mechanical equipment across customer sites.
The role involves planned preventative maintenance, reactive breakdown support and installation assistance, ensuring customers receive a professional and efficient service at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits on customer equipment.
Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
Attend customer sites to complete reactive service and breakdown work.
Ensure all service visits are completed to a high standard and within agreed service levels.
Complete service reports and associated documentation accurately and on time.
Maintain company vehicle stock levels and manage spare parts effectively.
Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal technical support teams.
Follow all health, safety and compliance procedures.
Ensure company equipment, tools and vehicles are maintained correctly.
Support technical improvements and contribute to continuous service excellence.
Participate in occasional out-of-hours, weekend and overnight travel when required.

Automatic Door Engineer
Gate Automation Engineer
Essential Skills & Experience
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Electrical and/or mechanical engineering experience.
Experience working on electro-mechanical equipment.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
Competent IT skills with experience completing digital service records.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Full UK Driving Licence.
