Setting Out Engineer 
 Location - Aylesbury 
Duration - 12 Months
Rate: £330 per day CIS or Ltd Company

 Overview Tradestech Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join a major HS2 infrastructure project on a 12-month contract basis.

 This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer with strong setting out experience to work on one of the UK’s largest infrastructure programmes, supporting the successful delivery of complex civil engineering works.
 Key Responsibilities  
Carry out accurate setting out duties using surveying equipment including GPS, robotic total stations, and laser levels. 
Interpret and work from engineering drawings, specifications, and construction information. 
Provide site teams with accurate dimensional control and technical support. 
Ensure works are constructed in accordance with approved designs, tolerances, and project specifications. 
Complete quality assurance checks and maintain accurate site records. 
Liaise with Site Agents, Engineers, Supervisors, and project management teams. 
Assist with resolving technical issues and provide engineering solutions on site. 
Monitor progress and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme. 
Maintain compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.  Requirements  
Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer within civil engineering projects. 
Experience working on major infrastructure projects is essential. 
HS2 experience would be highly desirable. 
Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, drawings, and construction methods. 
Competent using surveying equipment and relevant engineering software. 
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work independently. 
Valid CSCS card (relevant engineering qualification preferred). 
Strong understanding of health and safety requirements.  Project Experience Preferred Experience within the following areas would be advantageous:
  
Major infrastructure projects 
Earthworks 
Structures 
Highways 
Rail 
Utilities
