Job Description

Setting Out Engineer

We are recruiting for a Setting Out Engineer to join a specialist fencing contractor on a large, long term infrastructure project in the HP18 area.

You will be responsible for accurately setting out fencing works, maintaining engineering records and supporting the delivery team with quality assurance documentation.

Location: HP18, Aylesbury

Rate: £340 per day

Duration: 18 to 24 months

Start date: Tuesday 1st September

Parking available on site

Responsibilities

• Setting out fence posts, boundaries, lines and levels

• Establishing and maintaining site control points

• Interpreting engineering drawings and project specifications

• Producing red line and as built drawings

• Completing QA records, check sheets and supporting documentation

• Checking completed installations against the approved design

• Reporting any discrepancies or technical issues

• Liaising with site supervisors, management and the wider project team

• Maintaining accurate and organised engineering records

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Setting Out Engineer or Site Engineer

• Experience working on civils or infrastructure projects

• Competent using GPS and total station equipment

• Confident interpreting engineering drawings

• Experience producing red line and as built drawings

• Good understanding of QA procedures and documentation

• Valid CSCS card

• Full right to work in the UK
