Site Agent – Structures (Highways)

Location: Oxfordshire, UK

Employment Type: Permanent (open to contract depending on experience)

Start Date: ASAP

Overview

Red Sky Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a leading contractor delivering a major highways infrastructure scheme in Oxfordshire. We are seeking an experienced Site Agent with a strong background in structures to take ownership of key structural packages across the project.

Key Responsibilities

Lead delivery of structural elements including bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and reinforced concrete works

Manage site teams, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure safe and efficient delivery

Oversee temporary works and ensure compliance with design and engineering standards

Drive programme performance, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies

Ensure works are delivered in line with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards

Liaise with design teams, clients, and key stakeholders to resolve technical challenges

Manage RAMS, short-term programmes, and daily site operations

Monitor progress, cost, and reporting in line with project requirements

Requirements

Proven experience as a Site Agent or Sub Agent delivering structures on major highways or heavy civils projects

Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete, bridges, and structural works

SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold), and First Aid

Experience working under NEC contracts

Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills

Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree preferred)
