Job Description

Site Engineer – HS2, Aylesbury

Role overview:
We are seeking a Site Engineer to join the HS2 project team based in the Aylesbury area, supporting the delivery of civil engineering works on this major infrastructure programme.

Key responsibilities:

  * Carry out setting out, levelling, and surveying using Total Station and GPS equipment

  * Ensure works are constructed to design specification, within tolerance, and in line with drawings

  * Monitor and record as-built information; maintain accurate site records

  * Liaise with subcontractors, site management, and the design team to resolve technical queries

  * Support quality control, including checks and inspections against method statements

  * Assist with programme planning and material/resource coordination

  * Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards on site

Requirements:

  * Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience)

  * Proven setting out experience on major infrastructure or rail projects (HS2 experience advantageous)

  * Proficiency with Leica/Trimble Total Stations, GPS, and AutoCAD/Civil 3D

  * CSCS card; SSSTS/SMSTS desirable

  * Strong communication and problem-solving skills

  * Full UK driving licence

Location: Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire (site-based, with travel across the HS2 corridor as required)
