Our client is a leading UK food business and are in the market to hire a Site Management Accountant on a full-time permanent basis at their Hereford site. This position will pay a £market rate salary + an attractive benefits package. You can expect to be onsite most days in the first 6 months of employment, but hybrid working will be considered for those that need it, and it will be offered on a more regular basis once you are established in your role. Their operations span the entire supply chain, from farms to factories, with processing sites located across England and Wales.
At their Hereford site, which is one of our most advanced processing facilities, they employ over 1,500 people. With recent investments in technology and equipment, they are continually enhancing their operations to remain at the forefront of the industry.
They are looking for a dedicated and skilled Management Accountant to join their finance team at the Hereford site. This is an office-based role with some hybrid working potential, standard office hours are Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 17:00.
As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for providing financial control, leading the reporting function, and partnering with key business areas across the site. You will work closely with the Site Manager, the Senior Leadership Team, and the Central Finance team, ensuring financial governance is maintained and the site meets all accounting standards. Your duties will include overseeing the preparation of weekly and monthly reports, managing the budgeting process, and supporting the site’s financial performance. You will also provide regular expenditure analysis and maintain the Profit Improvement Plan (PIP) tracker.
To succeed in this role, you will need to be ACA, CIMA, or ACCA qualified with relevant post-qualification experience, ideally gained within an FMCG or manufacturing environment. You will possess strong financial acumen, with a proven ability to analyse financial data, manage costs, and create value. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will be required to explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture.
