Job Description

Job Title: Site Manager (Windows & Doors Installation)

Location: Colchester & Surrounding Areas (Including South London)
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum + Company Car

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee multiple installation projects within a well-established window and door company. This role will involve managing 2–3 active sites across Colchester and surrounding areas, with some travel into South London.

Projects will primarily consist of domestic new build developments and refurbishment works, alongside occasional commercial installations. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring all projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and to a high standard of workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

  * Oversee and manage 2–3 live sites at any one time across domestic and commercial projects

  * Coordinate installation works on new build housing developments, ensuring programmes are met and aligned with main contractors

  * Manage refurbishment projects, including occupied properties, ensuring minimal disruption to residents and maintaining a clean, safe working environment

  * Supervise installation teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure quality and productivity

  * Ensure all works comply with health & safety regulations and site-specific requirements

  * Carry out regular site inspections and quality checks on window and door installations

  * Liaise with clients, main contractors, site managers, and homeowners where required

  * Manage site logistics, including deliveries, materials, and labour allocation

  * Identify and resolve on-site issues quickly to avoid delays

  * Maintain accurate records including progress reports, snagging lists, and completion documentation

  * Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification

Requirements

  * Proven experience as a Site Manager within the windows, doors, or wider construction industry

  * Experience working on domestic new builds and refurbishment projects (essential)

  * Exposure to commercial projects (advantageous)

  * Strong understanding of window and door installation processes and standards

  * Ability to manage multiple sites and prioritise workload effectively

  * Excellent communication and leadership skills

  * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

  * Good working knowledge of health & safety regulations (SMSTS preferred)

  * Full UK driving licence
