Job Description

Site Manager

Location: Manchester

Start: June 2026

We're seeking an experienced Site Manager for a Project in Manchester.

The ideal candidate will have:

- Proven experience managing construction sites on high-rise buildings (10+ storeys)

- Strong background in cladding replacement, façade systems, or envelope works

- SMSTS certification (or equivalent)

- CSCS Manager card

- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills

Key responsibilities:

- Develop and manage daily/weekly work plans to ensure efficient workflows and adherence to the project programme

- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with design specifications

- Manage site logistics, including hoist operations, access routes, storage, and material movements on high-rise structures

- Ensure all works follow relevant cladding replacement guidelines, including non-combustible materials and system testing standards

- Lead daily/weekly site briefings, toolbox talks, and safety audits

- Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, and technical submittals related to façade/cladding systems

- Work closely with design teams, façade engineers, and building control to resolve technical issues

- Maintain strong communication with clients, residents’ representatives, consultants, and building management teams

- Produce and present progress reports, site records, and compliance documentation
