Role Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the on-site delivery of a modular construction project within a live healthcare environment. This role requires a strong and proactive leader, ideally with experience in modular construction, who can manage site operations effectively while maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and quality in a sensitive setting.
Key Responsibilities Site Management & Coordination
* Oversee day-to-day site operations for the installation of modular units
* Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and delivery schedules to maintain programme timelines
* Lead daily briefings and toolbox talks, ensuring clear communication and task allocation
* Ensure all works are completed in line with technical specifications and quality standards
Health, Safety & Compliance
* Enforce strict health and safety procedures in line with CDM regulations and company policies
* Carry out regular site inspections, risk assessments, and incident reporting
* Maintain site security, access control, and safe separation from operational and public areas
Stakeholder & Client Communication
* Provide regular progress updates and attend coordination meetings
* Work closely with design, engineering, and project teams to resolve site issues
* Liaise with client representatives during site visits and maintain professional communication
Quality Control & Documentation
* Oversee installation quality and commissioning processes
* Manage site documentation including RAMS, daily records, permits, and inspections
* Ensure all snagging and handover documentation is completed to required standards
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Site Manager or Supervisor within modular or fast-track construction
* Experience working on complex, live operational sites
* Strong understanding of modular installation, crane operations, and logistics planning
* Excellent leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work collaboratively in a high-sensitivity environment
* Competent in interpreting drawings, managing quality, and working to programme deadlines
Qualifications
* SMSTS – Essential
* CSCS Manager’s Card – Essential
* First Aid at Work – Essential
* NEBOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification – Desirable
