Job Description

Job Title: Site Manager – New Build Residential

Location: Bicester, Oxfordshire

Start Date: April 2026

Rate: £250 – £270 per day (CIS / Ltd) – DOE

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to oversee a new build residential development in Bicester, starting in April. This is a freelance role with a reputable contractor delivering a high-quality housing scheme.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily site operations to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to programme

Manage subcontractors, trades, and suppliers on site

Enforce health & safety standards and site compliance

Monitor build progress and report into senior management

Carry out quality control inspections and snagging

Maintain site records, RAMS, and permits

Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders

Requirements

Proven track record as a Site Manager on new build residential projects

SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold), and First Aid (essential)

Strong leadership and organisational skills

Excellent knowledge of construction processes and H&S regulations

Ability to drive programme and manage multiple trades

Desirable

Experience with volume housebuilders

NVQ Level 6 (or equivalent)

Temporary Works / Scaffold Inspection tickets
