Job Description

SITE MANAGER - SOLAR FARM - PV - CONSTRUCTION - BEDFORD, ENGLAND - CONTRACT (15 MONTHS)

Job Overview:

We are supporting a leading EPC with a strong UK pipeline, seeking a Site Manager to support the delivery of a utility-scale Solar farm project in Bedford.

This role will begin during the early enabling works phase, supporting site setup, contractor onboarding, and mobilisation alongside the Project Manager and HSE team.

Key Responsibilities:

  * Support early-stage site mobilisation and enabling works

  * Manage subcontractors across civil, mechanical and electrical disciplines

  * Ensure compliance with HSE and CDM requirements

  * Coordinate contractor onboarding and site setup activities

  * Provide structured reporting on progress, risks, and performance

  * Monitor programme delivery and support ramp-up into main construction

  * Work closely with Supervisors and Quality Manager to maintain standards

Qualifications & Experience:

  * Experience as a Site Manager within Solar, BESS, or infrastructure projects

  * Strong background in civils or M&E delivery

  * Experience managing subcontractors within construction environments

  * SMSTS certification (essential)

  * NEBOSH advantageous

  * Strong organisational and reporting capability

Contract Details:

  * Location: Bedford, England

  * Contract Length: 15 months

  * Start Date: August / September 2026

  * Working Pattern: 5-6 days per week (construction dependent)
