About the Client

Our client is a leading principal contractor delivering high-quality new build and Design & Build projects across the leisure and healthcare sectors. Due to continued workload, they are seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to join their team on a temporary long-term contract in Manchester.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven construction professional who takes pride in delivering complex projects safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

About the Role

As Senior Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring successful delivery of new build projects from start to finish. You will lead site teams, manage subcontractors, and ensure full compliance with health, safety, quality, and programme requirements.

Interviews are being held immediately, with an anticipated start date of 29th June.

Key Responsibilities

  * Manage subcontractors, labour, and suppliers on site while driving programme delivery and short-term planning

  * Lead site health & safety in line with CDM Regulations, ensuring full compliance with statutory requirements

  * Oversee quality assurance, inspections, snagging, and ensure compliance with Building Regulations

  * Coordinate design information on Design & Build projects and liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders

  * Use Procore and other digital construction systems, maintaining accurate site records and progress reporting

About You

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager with strong leadership skills and a proven track record in delivering new build construction projects. You will be confident managing subcontractors, driving programme performance, and maintaining high standards of health & safety on site.

Essential Experience

  * Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Site Manager, including Senior Site Manager level

  * Proven delivery of new build construction projects under JCT Design & Build contracts

  * Strong subcontractor management, coordination, and site leadership skills

  * Experience across leisure, healthcare, commercial or public sector projects

  * Strong IT literacy including Microsoft Office and digital construction platforms

  * Excellent knowledge of health & safety legislation and site compliance

  * Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills

Desirable Experience

  * Procore experience

  * Large multi-trade development experience

  * BIM / Revit knowledge

Qualifications & Certifications

  * SMSTS (essential)

  * Black CSCS Card (essential)

  * First Aid at Work

  * Asbestos Awareness

  * Fire Marshal / Fire Warden Training

  * Full UK Driving Licence

  * NVQ Level 6/7 or construction-related degree (preferred)
