Civils Site Manager -
Location: Sunderland
Pay: £260-£270/day
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Main Purpose
Manage specialist civil engineering works on a live industrial recycling site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and in line with CDM Regulations 2015.
Core Responsibilities
Oversee:
Concrete floor replacement
Sub-base excavation/rebuilds
Drainage works
Groundworks and infrastructure upgrades
Reinforced concrete/hardstanding works
Manage subcontractors, labour, plant, and materials
Ensure compliance with:
CDM Regulations 2015
RAMS
Permit-to-work systems
Temporary works procedures
Run daily safety inspections, toolbox talks, and progress tracking
Coordinate works within a live operational industrial environment
Produce reports and maintain compliance/site documentation
Essential Experience
Civil engineering or industrial infrastructure project management
Strong health & safety/CDM knowledge
Contractor supervision in live operational sites
Groundworks, drainage, reinforced concrete experience
Required Certifications
SMSTS
CSCS Manager Card
First Aid at Work
