Location: Pets at Home, Horsham, RH12 1HR

Duration: 2 Weeks

Rate: £280 Per Shift

Start Date: Immediate

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to oversee a retail fit-out/refurbishment project at Pets at Home, Horsham. This is a short-term contract lasting approximately 2 weeks, requiring a hands-on manager who can ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site operations, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining health & safety standards, and acting as the main point of contact on site throughout the project.

 Key Responsibilities 

Manage day-to-day site activities and subcontractor performance.
Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with site procedures.
Conduct site inductions and toolbox talks.
Monitor project progress and maintain programme targets.
Ensure quality standards are achieved and defects are addressed promptly.
Complete and maintain all relevant site documentation.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
Manage deliveries, site logistics, and housekeeping.
Ensure compliance with current Health & Safety legislation and company policies.

Requirements 

 Essential 

SMSTS Certificate
Valid CSCS Card
First Aid at Work Certificate
Previous experience as a Site Manager on retail fit-out, refurbishment, or commercial projects
Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
Excellent communication and organisational skills
 Desirable 

Experience managing live retail environments
Fire Marshal qualification
Asbestos Awareness certification
