Site Manager - EWI & Facade Remediation

£50,000 - £60,000 + Car Allowance or Company Van & Fuel Card + Private Healthcare + Pension

A well-established South Wales contractor specialising in social housing refurbishment, planned maintenance, decarbonisation and external envelope improvement works is looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to join its growing team.

This role requires a proven background in External Wall Insulation (EWI) and facade refurbishment projects. Applicants without direct EWI project experience are unlikely to be considered.

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will join the business to deliver a programme of apartment block remediation works across South Wales.

Your first project will involve the removal and replacement of a failed EWI system on a 4-5 storey occupied residential block. The scheme will require the safe removal of the existing system, facade preparation works, installation of a replacement EWI system and re-rendering before progressing onto further apartment blocks within the programme.

This is a long-term opportunity offering exposure to a strong pipeline of social housing refurbishment and external envelope projects across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  * Managing day-to-day site operations

  * Overseeing EWI, rendering and facade refurbishment activities

  * Managing subcontractors, labour and material procurement

  * Driving programme performance and ensuring projects are delivered on schedule

  * Maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and quality

  * Liaising with clients, consultants, residents and internal stakeholders

  * Carrying out inspections, quality checks and progress reviews

  * Managing site documentation and reporting requirements

  * Ensuring works are completed in accordance with specifications and company procedures

Essential Requirements

  * Previous experience as a Site Manager on EWI projects

  * Strong understanding of EWI systems, rendering and facade refurbishment works

  * Experience managing EWI remediation or replacement schemes

  * Cladding refurbishment experience

  * Knowledge of retrofit, PAS 2030 or decarbonisation programmes

  * Experience within the social housing refurbishment sector

  * Experience working in occupied residential environments

  * SMSTS

  * CSCS Card

  * First Aid at Work

  * Full UK Driving Licence
