Job Description

Freelance Site Manager – Facade Remediation

Location: Brighton, East Sussex

Rate: £280–£300 per day CIS

Duration: Ongoing, with potential for temp-to-perm

Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join a major facade remediation project in Brighton, working closely alongside the Project Manager in a No.2 capacity.

This is a site-based position where you will have responsibility for the delivery and coordination of the facade works, ensuring subcontractors are effectively managed and that the package progresses safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for 1 block of apartments 
	
Take day-to-day responsibility for the facade remediation works on site.
	
Support the Project Manager as part of the Site Management team.
	
Manage and coordinate subcontractors, labour and associated site activities. 
	
Track progress against programme and ensure key milestones are achieved.
	
Maintain high standards of health & safety, quality and site compliance.
	
Ensure all works are carried out in line with approved drawings, specifications and RAMS.
	
Participate in site meetings and liaise with the wider project team.
	
Build and maintain effective working relationships with subcontractors, consultants and the client.
	
Identify and address any issues affecting the progress, quality or safe delivery of the works.

Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:

A relevant degree-level qualification.
	
Current SMSTS certification.
	
Valid CSCS card.
	
Valid First Aid qualification.
	
Previous experience working for a Tier 1 main contractor.
	
Strong, demonstrable experience delivering key packages 
	
A consistent employment history with evidence of long-term commitment to previous employers.
	
Excellent communication, organisation and leadership abilities.
	
The confidence and experience to take ownership of a significant package on a live construction project.

Rate & Opportunity

£280–£300 per day CIS, dependent on experience and suitability.

The initial position is freelance and ongoing, with the possibility of moving into a temp-to-permanent role for the right individual.

Interviews are expected to take place face-to-face over the coming week, so applicants should be able to attend at relatively short notice.
