Job Description

My client is seeking a proactive Site Supervisor to support the delivery of civil engineering and infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for individuals with strong supervisory skills and an SSSTS qualification, even if they do not have previous experience specifically within civils. Full training and support will be provided.

The Site Supervisor will assist in the day‑to‑day supervision of site activities, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  * Supervise and coordinate daily site operations and workforce activities

  * Ensure all tasks are completed safely in accordance with health & safety standards

  * Conduct toolbox talks and assist with site inductions

  * Monitor productivity, quality, and progress against the work schedule

  * Report issues, risks, and progress to the Site Manager

  * Maintain site records, including permits, daily logs, and safety documentation

  * Support subcontractors and ensure compliance with RAMS

  * Promote and maintain a clean, safe working environment

  * Liaise with suppliers, delivery drivers, and visitors on site

  * Ensure correct use of PPE and adherence to company safety policies

Essential Requirements

  * Valid SSSTS certificate

  * Strong communication and organisational skills

  * Ability to lead small teams and give clear instructions

  * Positive attitude toward safety and compliance

  * Willingness to learn new civil engineering processes

Desirable (But NOT Required)

  * Previous experience in civil engineering or construction

  * CSCS card

  * First aid qualification

  * Experience supervising subcontractors

  * Knowledge of groundworks, utilities, or infrastructure tasks
