Our client, a well-established business based on the outskirts of Peterborough, is looking to recruit a Social Media Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

PETERBOROUGH CAMBS, OFFICE BASED

£30,000 - £35,000

Monday to Friday 08.30am to 17.30pm

Key responsibilities for the Social Media Manager role:

We are seeking a highly creative, commercially driven and self -sufficient Social Media Manager to take full ownership of our social media function. This is a senior, hands -on role for someone who thrives on autonomy and is confident in shaping, executing, and evolving a social media strategy that delivers measurable business impact. You will bring fresh ideas, take initiative, and make the role your own, whilst maintaining exceptional attention to detail. This is a hands - on role that blends creative flair with attention to detail. You will shape our social channels, engage online communities, create impactful content

Content Creation

  * Produce slick, creative, and engaging content spanning photography, graphics, and video.

  * Plan and manage a forward -looking content calendar aligned to business goals and campaigns.

  * Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines and relevant regulations.

  * Write compelling copy for social posts, captions, and short -form content across all platforms.

  * Edit video content for use across social channels, including short -form reels and longer YouTube formats.

Insight & Performance

  * Monitor trends and competitor activity to inform content strategy.

  * Track and analyse performance metrics to evaluate campaign effectiveness.

  * Produce weekly and monthly performance reports with actionable recommendations.

  * Continuously optimise content based on data, audience insights, and results.

  * Stay up to date with platform algorithm changes and emerging social media best practices.

Skills and experience

We are looking for a Social Media Manager who has the following:

  * A creative mindset with a sharp eye for what works on social media.

  * Confident copywriting skills and the ability to craft compelling content across formats.

  * Strong working knowledge of social media platforms, tools, and analytics.

  * Excellent photography and videography skills, with solid editing capabilities across both.

  * Experience using Mailchimp or similar email marketing platforms to manage and deploy campaigns.

  * Familiarity with HubSpot CRM or a comparable platform, including contact management and basic workflow administration.

  * A highly organised approach with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

  * Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams.

  * A proactive, self -motivated attitude with a desire to learn and grow within the role.
