Job Title: Sous Chef
Location: St Albans
Salary: £30,000 – £33,000 per annum (depending on experience)

About the Role:
We’re seeking a talented and motivated Sous Chef to join a dynamic kitchen team in St Albans. You’ll play a key role in leading service, supporting the Head Chef, and helping deliver excellent food for both daily service and special events.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily kitchen operations alongside the Head Chef
Lead and motivate the team to deliver high standards of food and presentation
Ensure all food hygiene and safety standards are consistently met
Assist in menu development and planning for functions and events
Manage prep schedules, ordering, and stock control
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie ready for the next step
Must be able to drive (due to location)
Weekend work required – typical shifts start between 7:30 AM – 9:00 AM, finishing around 3:30 PM – May be later if there is an event/functions
40-hour week over 5 days, with flexibility for longer days during events/functions
Confident cooking skills and ability to manage a section independently
