Key responsibilities
* Serve as the regulatory technical expert, ensuring compliance for new and existing fire projects while interpreting standards for engineering teams.
* Guide the technical publication team on necessary document changes and oversee clarity in product approval strategies across design and documentation.
* Prepare and coordinate testing plans, setup systems, and obtain approval results while conducting software and hardware testing for performance improvement.
* Analyse project risks and deadlines to develop realistic schedules and address compliance concerns with cross-functional teams.
* Direct a global team in testing methodologies to meet local requirements, maintaining product compliance with the latest regulatory standards.
* Act as a liaison between regulatory agencies and Honeywell engineering, while identifying test failures and collaborating on corrective actions.
Key skills and qualifications
* Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science
* Solid experience with new product development, agency approvals or in an electrical/electronic testing laboratory
* Full lifecycle project management experience and the ability to provide understanding of key technical terms
* Strong problem-solving skills: prioritize, identify root causes & take corrective actions
* Experience with relevant certification agencies: UL/ULC, ETL, CSA, TUV, BRE, CNPP AFNOR, VDS, etc.
* Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
