This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people and have previous experience working within an Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) residential setting. About the Role Working within a therapeutic and child-centred environment, you will support children and young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs, helping them to develop life skills, build resilience and achieve positive outcomes. You will play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing and structured home environment, whilst acting as a positive role model and advocate for the young people in your care. Essential Requirements * Minimum of 1 year's experience working within a Children's Residential EBD Home. * Experience supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs. * Good knowledge of safeguarding, child protection and children's residential care practices. * Ability to manage challenging behaviours in a calm and professional manner. * Strong communication and relationship-building skills. * Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins. * Right to work in the UK. What Our Client Is Looking For Due to the nature of the role and the needs of the young people being supported, applicants must be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the experiences, challenges and influences affecting teenagers and young people growing up in the UK today. Successful candidates will have the ability to relate to young people, understand the social and environmental factors that may impact their lives, and use this understanding to build positive and meaningful relationships. This understanding may have been gained through professional experience, personal experience, youth work, mentoring, parenting, community involvement or other relevant life experiences. Key Responsibilities * Providing high-quality day-to-day care and support to young people. * Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing. * Supporting education, health appointments, hobbies and social activities. * Maintaining accurate records and reports. * Contributing to care plans, risk assessments and reviews. * Working collaboratively with colleagues, social workers, schools and external professionals. * Ensuring safeguarding and welfare remain at the centre of all practice. What's on Offer * Competitive salary. * Sleep-in payments where applicable. * Ongoing training and professional development. * Career progression opportunities. * Supportive management and leadership team. * The opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of vulnerable young people.
