Job Description

We are recruiting Support Workers to join our service in Basildon, supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs. About the Service – Ashview Ashview House is a 11 bed residential service providing support for Adults with Learning Disability, Physical disability, Epilepsy and Adults on the Spectrum.  Person centred care is very important to us at Ashview House.  As a team, we focus on the  abilities of the people we support and promote learning of new skills, thereby promoting independence and an improved quality of life.  We have an open culture where staff feel safe to challenge bad practise, learn from mistakes, share knowledge and lessons learnt. The people we support are involved in the day-to-day running of their home.   Service User Interests The people we support enjoy a wide range of activities, and Support Workers play a vital role in enabling these experiences, including: Swimming Buccia games Bowling Meals out in restaurant of choice Holidays at least one per year Shopping Cinema Bus ride or walks Winter wonderland ….and lots moreThe Role You will: Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing Support activities, appointments, and community access Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team Work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-insWho We’re Looking For We’re seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable. No previous experience?  No problem!  If you have the passion, we’ll provide full training and a structured induction programme.
