System Engineer

Rate - £40 an hour

Duration - 12 months initially

Location - Grangemouth 

Ir35 - Inside (Must use an umbrella company)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer to join a leading organisation based in Grangemouth. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining Information Systems and Manufacturing Execution Systems. The role involves working with a range of systems and coding languages to integrate and streamline production processes from top to bottom.

Accountabilities

Deliver a key automation service to multiple business units.
Utilise in-depth knowledge of SQL Server to design and maintain databases, ensuring data integrity and security.
Develop custom applications using C#, HTML and Java to extend the functionality of manufacturing execution systems.
Design and implement user-friendly web interfaces and dashboards for monitoring and controlling manufacturing processes.
Provide technical support and training to end‑users on system functionalities and best practices.
Follow safe systems of work for all daily activities, maintaining the highest HSEQ standards.

Qualifications

In‑depth knowledge and experience with SQL Server, including database design, query optimisation, and performance tuning.
Knowledge of C# and HTML for developing custom applications and web interfaces, with a strong understanding of web design principles and user experience best practices (advantageous).
Knowledge of AVEVA System Platform or similar products (advantageous).
Experience using AI tools to assist with code development (advantageous but not essential)
