The Role The successful candidate will: Deliver engaging and innovative Media Studies lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5. Teach both theoretical and practical aspects of Media Studies, including GCSE and A-Level courses. Encourage critical thinking, creativity and independent learning. Support students in developing media analysis, research and production skills. Create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment where students can thrive. Monitor and assess student progress, providing effective feedback to maximise achievement. Contribute to enrichment opportunities such as film clubs, media projects and creative workshops. Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver outstanding teaching and learning. The Ideal Candidate Will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification. Have experience teaching Media Studies at secondary level. Possess strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for media, film and digital culture. Be confident teaching GCSE and A-Level Media Studies. Have excellent classroom management and communication skills. Inspire and motivate students of all abilities. Demonstrate creativity, enthusiasm and professionalism. Be committed to raising standards and achieving excellent outcomes for young people.
