Teacher of Music – Luton Location: Luton Start Date: September Contract: Full-Time | Permanent Salary: £31,650 – £49,084 per annum (dependent on experience) Tag: INDED We are working with a welcoming secondary school in Luton seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Music to join their thriving department. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious teacher to inspire students through creative and engaging lessons while developing musical skills and confidence across KS3–KS4. Role Overview: Teach Music across KS3–KS4 (KS5 desirable) Plan and deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons Support students in developing musical performance, composition, and listening skills Monitor student progress and implement strategies to raise achievement Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental initiatives Encourage participation in extracurricular music activities and performances Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment About You: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification Experience teaching Music at secondary level Strong classroom management and organisational skills Passionate about high-quality teaching and student achievement Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Benefits: Competitive salary between £31,650 – £49,084 depending on experience Supportive and collaborative school culture Well-resourced Music facilities Excellent professional development and career progression opportunities Apply today with your CV to secure this Teacher of Music role in Luton starting in September.
