The Role The successful candidate will: Teach Music across Key Stages 3 and 4. Deliver engaging, practical and creative lessons that inspire a love of music. Develop students' performance, composition and listening skills. Encourage participation in musical activities both within and beyond the classroom. Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback to support achievement. Create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment. Contribute to concerts, performances and extracurricular music activities where appropriate. Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver outstanding teaching and learning. The Ideal Candidate Will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. Have a degree in Music or a related discipline. Possess strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for music education. Be confident teaching both practical and theoretical elements of the curriculum. Have excellent classroom management and communication skills. Inspire, challenge and motivate students of all abilities. Be committed to raising standards and achieving excellent outcomes for young people. Demonstrate a positive, flexible and professional approach to teaching.
