This opportunity spans a range of primary mainstream and specialist settings in King’s Lynn, including schools supporting pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs. The role
As a Support Worker, you’ll work across different primary settings, supporting pupils either one to one or in small groups. Your focus will be on helping children access learning, regulate emotions, and engage positively with school life.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Providing emotional and behavioural support in and out of the classroom
Supporting pupils with SEN and SEMH needs
Helping children build routines, resilience, and confidence
Working closely with teachers and support staff to ensure consistent care
Who this role suits
This role is well suited to someone with experience in care, mental health support, youth work, or similar environments. Experience supporting children or individuals with additional needs or challenging behaviour is highly valued.
A background in education is helpful but not essential. What matters most is a calm, patient approach, strong communication skills, and a genuine understanding of SEN and SEMH needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
