Job Description

Teaching Assistant – Full Time

Location: PR9, Southport

Monday – Friday | 8:30am – 3:30pm

£100 – £106 per day

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in the PR9 area of Southport is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a nurturing school environment that places a strong emphasis on supporting the whole child—academically, socially and emotionally. The school has a well-established reputation for inclusion and offers support for pupils across a range of abilities, including those with additional needs.

The Role:

Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2

Working closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons

Providing 1:1 and small group support

Assisting pupils with additional needs, including SEND

Promoting a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:

Previous experience working with children in a school or similar setting

A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach

Confidence supporting pupils with additional needs (desirable)

Strong communication and teamwork skills

A genuine passion for education
