Teaching Assistant - Cambridge

£90-£115 per day | Full-time, part-time & long-term opportunities

We're recruiting Teaching Assistants to work with primary and secondary schools across Cambridge and the surrounding Cambridgeshire area.

Whether you're an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a new school, a Learning Support Assistant wanting more flexibility, or you have relevant experience working with children and would like to move into education, we'd like to hear from you.

The Teaching Assistant role

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work alongside teachers to help pupils access learning and feel confident in the classroom.

Depending on the school and age group, your responsibilities could include:

Supporting pupils during lessons

Working with individuals and small groups

Delivering interventions

Supporting reading, literacy and numeracy

Providing 1:1 classroom support

Supporting pupils with additional educational needs

Helping children remain engaged and focused

Preparing classroom resources

Encouraging confidence and independence

Who are we looking for?

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or Classroom Assistant is desirable, but we can also consider candidates with relevant experience from childcare, nursery, tutoring, youth work, coaching or other child-focused settings.

You'll need to be patient, reliable and comfortable building positive professional relationships with children and school staff.
